Our Providers

 Women's Health Partners consists of 3 Board Certified OB/GYN Physicians —expanding to 4 in September 2026—along with 3 Physician Assistants and 1 Nurse Practitioner to provide gynecologic care, obstetric care, and other in-office treatments and therapy.

Beth Cook, MD, FACOG

Currently accepting new patients, Dr. Beth Cook would be delighted to welcome you to Women's Health Partners. She is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist that joined Women's Health Partners in 2006. She enjoys caring for patients throughout all stages of their lives and provides a full complement of obstetric and gynecologic services. Dr. Cook believes the relationship you build with the patient is the cornerstone of providing the best care for that patient. Whether you're an obstetric patient being seen during your pregnancy, or an annual exam patient who may have concerns that arise during various stages of life, Dr. Cook wants you to be comfortable enough to ask questions and engage in conversation about your health.

Dr. Beth Cook completed medical school at West Virginia University School of Medicine. Her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology was completed at West Virginia University-Charleston Division at Women and Children's Hospital affiliated with Charleston Area Medical Center, a nearly 1000-bed tertiary center located in Charleston, West Virginia. She has been in private practice since 2002 and is affiliated with Summerville Medical Center, where she performs her deliveries and gynecologic surgeries. In addition to being Board Certified, she is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Cook is very active in the medical community and has served as the Chief Medical Officer for Summerville Medical Center since 2008. She was elected as Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology by her peers for the upcoming term and is a member of various hospital committees, including Women's Pelvic Health and Robotics.

Aaron R. Parry, II, MD, FACOG

Dr. Aaron R. Parry, II, a West Virginia native, is a board-certified OB/GYN who joined Women’s Health Partners in 2017. He is also a Certified Specialist with iCareBetter.com in endometriosis, a distinction that reflects advanced training and expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of this complex condition.


As a physician, Dr. Parry strives to care for his patients in the same way he would want his own family cared for. His practice includes general obstetrics and gynecology, with a strong focus on minimally invasive gynecology, chronic pelvic pain, and endometriosis care. He is highly experienced in laparoscopic and robotic-assisted surgery, including the Da Vinci surgical system, and has performed over 800 robotic gynecologic procedures.


Dr. Parry specializes in excision surgery for endometriosis, considered the gold standard for surgical management. His approach is rooted in a comprehensive understanding of endometriosis as a complex, multifactorial condition, allowing him to develop thoughtful, individualized treatment plans that address both symptoms and long-term health outcomes. He combines precise surgical techniques with personalized medical management to improve quality of life and reduce recurrence.


He holds a Focused Practice Designation in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has completed advanced robotic surgical training. His care philosophy is evidence-based and patient-centered, incorporating a range of medical therapies tailored to each patient’s needs, including hormonal treatments and other supportive strategies.

Dr. Parry serves as Chairman of the Department of OB/GYN and Director of Women’s Services for HCA Healthcare Trident and Summerville Hospitals.


Dr. Parry earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Wheeling Jesuit University in Wheeling, West Virginia. He received his medical degree from Marshall University School of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and graduated with honors. He completed his OB/GYN residency at West Virginia University-Charleston Division, where he received both the Chairman’s Award and the AAGL Minimally Invasive Gynecology Award. Following residency, he spent five years in private practice in Charleston, West Virginia.


He is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the AAGL (American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists). He has also held leadership roles within ACOG (American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists).



Dr. Parry lives in Summerville, South Carolina, with his wife and two children. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, exercising, and watching sports.

Whitney Sommers, MD, FACOG

Dr. Whitney Sommers is a dedicated medical professional with a strong background in obstetrics and gynecology. Her commitment to women's health and her impressive academic and clinical achievements make her a valuable asset to the Women’s Health Partners family.

 

Dr. Sommers earned her Medical Doctorate at Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown, Ohio, graduating in May 2017. She previously completed her Bachelor of Science in Combined Sciences at Youngstown State University, where she graduated Cum Laude in May 2013. Dr. Sommers then completed her residency training at Summa Health System in Akron, Ohio. She spent three years specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology, from March 2019 to August 2022, after previously training in Family Medicine at Summa Health System from July 2017 to February 2019.

 

We are excited to have Dr. Sommers join the Women's Health Partners family. Prior to this, she was a part of the Summa Health Medical Group Obstetrics and Gynecology in Akron, Ohio, from October 2022 to October 2023.

 

Her exceptional leadership skills were recognized during her time as the Education Chief Resident from July 2021 to June 2022. Additionally, she served as a Medical Student Liaison from July 2020 to June 2022 and actively participated in the Summa House Staff Council from July 2018 to June 2019.

 

Dr. Sommers received the prestigious Summa Health Louis M. Walker, M.D. Award in June 2022 and was a recipient of the Fred F. Silk Scholarship during her time at Northeast Ohio Medical University. She consistently demonstrated excellence in her academic pursuits, earning a place on the Youngstown State University Dean's List and receiving scholarships, including the President's Scholarship and the Ruth Roberts Scholarship.

 

Dr. Sommers holds multiple certifications, including Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support. She is also certified in DaVinci Surgical Systems Xi for Residents and Fellows, Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, and has completed the Merck Clinical Training Program for Nexplanon. Her expertise extends to neonatal resuscitation and trophon training.

 

She is an active member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Dr. Sommers is also board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG).

 

Dr. Whitney Sommers is dedicated to the well-being of her patients and is a passionate advocate for women's health. Her extensive education, training, and commitment to excellence make her a trusted healthcare provider in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.

Alexis Harlan — Summerville, SC — Women’s Health Partners

Alexis Harlan, FNP

Alexis received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lynchburg General Hospital School of Nursing in 2011. After school, she worked as a labor and delivery nurse at a local hospital for ten years. Alexis then received her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Walden University. She is dual board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

 

She aims to educate and empower women to take control of their health and provide individualized care to her patients.

 

Alexis moved to Summerville from a small town at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia in 2021 with her husband, three sons, and her Aussie Doodle, Charlie. They have made Summerville home and are thankful for such a fantastic community. She loves reading, doing anything outdoors with my family, and traveling (anywhere warm)!

Alexis Harlan — Summerville, SC — Women’s Health Partners

Martha Rawlings Green, MSPAS, PA-C

Martha Green is a Physician Assistant with over 24 years of experience in Women's Health! She earned her master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from the Medical University of South Carolina where she also works as an adjunct faculty member. She additionally teaches women's health curriculum for the PA program at CSU.


Martha enjoys providing comprehensive women's care to all ages and is known to speak nationally on the evaluation and treatment of endometriosis and heavy bleeding due to uterine fibroids.


Martha is a board-certified Physician Assistant, an active member of the South Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants, and member of St. Andrew's Parish United Methodist Church in West Ashley. Above all, she feels her most important role in life is being a mother to her 2 amazing boys, Garrett and Gage!

Kristeen Hillier — Summerville, SC — Women’s Health Partners

Maggie Miller, MSPAS, PA-C

Maggie Miller is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in women’s health at Women’s Health Partners. She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the Medical University of South Carolina, graduating with a 3.98 GPA, and completed her undergraduate studies at the College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health, Summa Cum Laude.

 

Maggie brings a broad and advanced clinical background to her patients, with extensive training in women’s health, prenatal care, gynecologic oncology, and preventative screenings. She has experience in performing well-woman exams, prenatal screenings, ultrasounds, cervical cancer screenings, contraceptive counseling, and postpartum care. Prior to joining Women’s Health Partners, Maggie served women and families at The Shifa Clinic, providing no-cost prenatal and gynecological care to uninsured women. She also gained valuable experience in acute care settings such as Emergency Medicine at MUSC and Cardiothoracic Surgery, further strengthening her clinical skills in procedures like pelvic exams, abscess drainage, suturing, point-of-care ultrasound, and patient counseling.

 

Her clinical passions focus on caring for women with endometriosis and those navigating the postpartum period. Maggie is committed to helping women feel seen, heard, and supported, especially during vulnerable times such as the "fourth trimester." She believes in open, honest conversations about mental and physical health and strives to create an environment where patients feel empowered in their care.

 

Originally from outside of Chicago, Maggie moved to Charleston in 2017 and now calls the Lowcountry home. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her dog, Penny, relaxing at Folly Beach, and staying active through cycling classes and outdoor activities.

Bridgette Payne, MSPAS, PA-C

Bridgette Payne is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in obstetrics and gynecology with more than 17 years of experience caring for women across all stages of life. She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where she completed extensive clinical training in community health settings throughout New York. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, with departmental honors, from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

 

Bridgette has served in both academic medical centers and community hospitals, providing comprehensive care in obstetrics, gynecology, and gynecologic oncology. Her experience includes first-assisting in labor and delivery, managing high-risk pregnancies, conducting gynecologic consults in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and supporting women through cancer treatment. She is skilled in performing procedures such as biopsies and has played an active role in clinical research and FDA trials aimed at advancing women’s health.

 

Passionate about delivering compassionate, patient-centered care, Bridgette values building strong relationships with women and their families during pivotal moments in their health journeys. 

 

Bridgette is excited to bring her extensive knowledge and experience to Women’s Health Partners, where she looks forward to supporting women with both routine and specialized gynecologic and obstetric needs.
