Carol Landry, CNM

My pursuit of midwifery began as a child. My great-grandmother was the town midwife in a small rural community in Southeastern Ohio. I loved hearing the birth stories about her from my grandmother- this inspired my path.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) from Ursuline College in Ohio in 1994. I began my career as a labor and delivery nurse at the University Hospitals of Cleveland.

I completed my Certification as a nurse midwife (CNM) 25 years ago in 1998 from Frontier Nursing University (FNU) and relocated to Pennsylvania for practice.

I continued my education at Frontier Nursing University, earning my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in 2007 and an additional postgraduate Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) in 2021.

I am certified as both CNM by American Midwifery Credentialing Board (AMCB) and FNP by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). I am currently pursuing my terminal degree by completing my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). I am a dedicated lifelong learner.

I practiced in the South-Central Pennsylvania area for 20 years. I have remained in the obstetric field my entire career. Women’s health is my calling. I enjoy teaching nursing, medical, and midwifery students. I have volunteered my services in teaching over the years. I am passionate about giving back by teaching the younger generations. I love working with women and their families at such special times as family planning, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum and routine gynecological care. I am thrilled when I can continue to follow these women over their lifetime for women-centered care.

I am a member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives, ACOG, AWHONN, AANP, ANCC, NCC, and Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society.

My husband and I relocated to Charleston, South Carolina, in 2016. We have five children and 13 grandchildren. We love to travel, camp in our RV and garden, and spend time with our three pups and family when possible.

I am excited to join such an outstanding established practice as the Women’s Health Partners.
